From October 2024, TLS Contact are taking over the UK Visas and Immigration application processing centres for biometric appointments. Held previously by Sopra Steria, this will change hands on the 15th October. Any appointments booked after this date will need to be booked through the TLS platform. This comes as part of global changes to the commercial operating partner for visa application centres*. This will take place from September 2024 to January 2025.
Improvements in the biometric appointment process will come with this transition to TLS Contact, according to the Home Office.
- All service centres will offer free appointments
- More free appointments will be available
- TLS will offer longer time slots for families applying together
- Chargeable appointments will all have a single price as TLS remove additional costs for same, next day and out of hours appointments.
Locations
As the Home Office transition to the new service provider, there are changes to location centres up and down the UK. In London, TLS have opened new centres in Gee Street, Enfield and Wandsworth. However, Stratford, Croydon and Luton centres remain open. In other cities such as Bristol and Swindon, the appointment centres have changed address – please check these and transport options ahead of your appointment.

*In Africa, Europe, the Middle East and central Asia, the UK visa centre operating partner will also change from TLS Contact to VFS Global over the coming months.
